Dear Citizens of Alexis,

At this time we are still under a boil order. we hope to have this lifted before this weekend.

The Public Works Department will be replacing 1 water main valves on Tuesday, August 5th. This means there will be a full town water shut down that day. We will keep everyone updated on the status of when water will be shut off and turned back on by the alert's process/village website. You could see times with water and without, this is common. There is no reason for alarm or to call the Village Hall for updates, we will update you when everything is finished and water is restored. For any questions or concerns you are welcome to call the public works cell phone at 309-373-2483. We also ask that you avoid driving by the construction areas for our safety and for the safety of the other crews working.  The area that will have either lane closers or completely blocked off are the following - the intersection of North Main/Hunt.  We appreciate your understanding & cooperation with this project.
